Tacos Don Chai

Very mediocre tacos. I had a chicken and a beef with cheese. It wasn’t even shredded meat, just cubed. I’m in Mexico twice a year so my perspective is skewed. These are Americanized tacos. Not awful, not amazing. Perfect for this town I suppose. I hope the business thrives and does well, just not for me. I did appreciate the variety of salsas I was given.

Landed here completely by accident. It’s a small little spot that looked colorful and fun from the outside, so we stopped... and I’m so glad we did! These young gentlemen are dishing out some kind of magic, and for the price point? Major win. We tried the soft tacos, the Super Quesadilla, and the Super Burrito; every single thing was exceptional. The ingredients are fresh, the meat is juicy and tender, and the refreshments are ice cold. And listen: if you haven’t had their pineapple salsa, you are not living. Their outdoor seating area is like a little secret oasis; shaded, chill, and perfect for slowing down with your food. They also cater for both large and small events, which I’ll absolutely keep in mind. Seriously, stop in and give this place a shot. It’s one of those hidden gems you’ll keep craving after you leave.

We booked Tacos Don Chai for our wedding and they absolutely killed it. Bryan made booking them easy and hassle free. His communication and punctuality truly made our wedding a way better experience. They came right on time and set up with no issues. The food of course was fantastic. Every one of our guests loved the food. We had some lactose guests and Bryan made sure to accommodate them. In all Tacos Don Chai was everything we hoped for and more. They made planning this wedding that much easier for us. Having great food and great people to make it was such a plus. Will definetly be hiring them for future events. Thank you!!!!!

I knew I would enjoy the food the moment I walked through the door!!! The food is fresh and filling. The habanaro and mango sauces won me over!! The prices are reasonable. There's only 2 parkin spots on site, but ample street parking available. I visited on a weekend, late in th afternoon. Three was a line and a 20 minute wait for my food,but we'll worth it! Th self order kiosk will even alert you to how many orders ahead of yours. Super friendly and accommodating staff and management. I look forward to dining in my next visit.

Best Birra in town! Everything is made with love and fresh. It’s absolutely delicious. The joyful and almost beach like atmosphere blends so well with the beautiful sauces and fresh made pico de gallo. I am addicted. Dog friendly with cute patio. Don’t let the industrial neighborhood scare you away. You have to eat here so good!

My wife tried this spot first and raved about some of the best chilaquiles around here. So we went together for breakfast. It's a small space and limited menu but you can tell they focus on perfecting their craft to make each item taste amazing over having an extensive menu full of hit or miss options. My wife and I each had chilaquiles, hers green sauce, mine red. We also ordered a Brisket Quesabirria, torta, and quesadilla to take home for later. For everything we got the price wasn't too bad at all. They have a wide variety of hot sauces to enjoy, the pineapple one is my favorite. I also ordered one of their seasonal agua frescas, which ended up being Guyabano, a flavor which I had never tried before, and was so pleasantly surprised by that we ordered another one to go before we left. The place again is small, but there was still ample outdoor seating for us to sit and enjoy our food in peace. We noticed most people were just ordering their food to go. This spot is a hidden gem worth checking out, and we will definitely be coming back for more!

This spot is kind of hidden so next time you are out in the area make sure you slide through! The service was amazing especially from John! I ordered two quesatacos one with chicken and one brisket they were so amazing but I love the chicken and you HAVE to put some pineapple sauce on them that shit is to die for!

I asked for a custom breakfast burrito and they were very accommodating to make it. The birria was the best I have ever had! It has large pieces and strands. All of it was perfect and flavorful….not even Guy Fieri could hold a candle to it! I would 100% recommend the breakfast burrito without potatoes and adding birria add the verde sauce! We took it to go, but definitely ate it in the car in the parking lot and returned inside to comment on how amazing it was (words cannot describe how amazing it was)!. Fresh, tender, tasty…everything you want in life. We will be back tomorrow morning! P.S we live in Benicia and will 100% pay the bridge toll for this!
